About the workshops of "Body Language of Poetry":
In her productions Yvonne Pouget communicates with the audience through her individually developed body language, which enables her to transform personal emotions into universal ones and recapture parts of our soul. For the spectator this is a straight invitation to look inwards and rediscover his or her own humanity and existential self-respect. The workshop is an introduction to Pouget's methods of expression and the unique form of resource strengthening body work (exercise), based on Japanese Butoh Dance. Using just a hot water bottle, each participant will go on a meaningful journey into their body and soul, enabling a better communication between the cerebral cortex and the limbic system. The impressions of this inner journey will eventually be expressed in a dance, (feeling) joyful and innocent like a little child on a swing.
Please bring comfortable work-out clothing and a hot water bottle (available in drug stores).

Systemic communication and resource improving Body Work based on Japanese Butoh Dance. For many years Yvonne Pouget did scientific research in the field of Violence and Trauma. Today she is well known for her expert and pioneering artistic work, transforming challenging subjects to appear on stage. In her productions Yvonne Pouget communicates with the audience through her individually developed body language, which enables her to transform personal emotions into universal ones and recapture parts of our soul. Pouget is giving a tangible form to the invisible (matter), demonstrating all aspects of our being human. For the spectator this is a straight invitation to look inwards and rediscover his or her own humanity and existential self-respect. The workshop is based on the theory of "Dark Body" by Tasumi Hijikata, the founder of Japanese Butoh Dance, through which Yvonne Pouget developed her individual (personal)choreographic expression as well as a special form of resource-improving body work, enabling a better communication between the cerebral cortex and the limbic system. The workshop is an introduction to both and we will be using basic elements of Butoh Dance as well as therapeutic methods of movement. This will stimulate and activate the healing potential of our body system and our soul. The special target of the workshop is our Self Awareness (Body awareness) and how we can influence it. We'll start our exploration on floor mats using a hot water bottle. If you are familiar with Feldenkrais, spiral dynamics or bioenergy you will be recognizing some of the elements. After that we will be using the resulting body consciousness, related emotions and cognitive impressions to express moving pictures on the basis of Japanese Butoh Dance. Please bring comfortable work-out clothing and a hot water bottle (available in drug stores).
